Mission & Purpose Questions

Ragnarok grew from a love of baseball and a belief that one coach, one team, one mentor, or one real opportunity can change the direction of a young person's life. Christy and Tyler Christensen built it to surround athletes with people who expect more from them and help them reach those expectations — without removing accountability or excusing harmful behavior.

Because your support helps create real, structured opportunity for young people who might otherwise be left behind. It helps fund competitive development, mentorship, accountability, a safe place to grow, and a permanent home for the program.

Both. Ragnarok is a competitive baseball program and a long-term athlete-development organization designed to grow carefully, serve families responsibly, and create measurable community impact.

The mission goes beyond winning. Ragnarok pairs competitive baseball with mentorship, accountability, academic expectations, community partnerships, and second-chance opportunities for young people who need structure and support.

Fayetteville, North Carolina. After establishing sustainable funding, qualified leadership, safe facilities, and measurable impact, the organization intends to expand into additional communities and states as demand and funding allow.

No. Ragnarok is competitive, but its mission includes young people who need structure, mentorship, and a genuine chance — not only top athletes. A child's future should not be determined entirely by what their family can afford.

A difficult behavioral history or past mistake does not automatically disqualify an athlete. The mission includes creating structured opportunities for young people who may benefit from accountability, mentorship, and positive intervention.

Attendance, conduct expectations, team responsibility, and goal-setting. Ragnarok expects more from athletes while teaching them how to reach those expectations — and continues showing up while they learn.

Through athlete attendance, development, family and partner feedback, and verified community impact — not only wins and losses.

Compensation details are disclosed through appropriate organizational channels. Ragnarok is built as a long-term service organization, not a short-term profit project.

Ragnarok is a youth-athlete-development organization founded on Christian values. It is not political. Families of all faith backgrounds are welcome and religious participation is voluntary. Refusing religious participation does not affect team selection.

No. Ragnarok helps athletes develop and gain exposure, but no specific college or professional outcome is guaranteed.

Families can submit an athlete interest form, explore memberships, coaching, volunteering, or a community partnership — each through its own form on this site.

Approved schools, sheriff's departments, juvenile programs, counselors, social workers, churches, and youth organizations may connect through the community partnership pathway.

The organization discloses its structure, verified figures, foundation status, and policies openly, and will not publish unverified rosters, partners, facility locations, or funding totals.
