Christy Christensen
Founder & CEO

Christy Christensen

Ragnarok Group, LLC
Ragnarok Performance Sports

Christy Christensen is the Founder & CEO of Ragnarok Group, LLC and Ragnarok Performance Sports. She leads the business strategy, branding, facility planning, financial development, sponsorship and investor outreach, partnerships, operations, communications, program development, and long-term growth behind Ragnarok Nation.

Her vision for Ragnarok is rooted in more than sports. As a mother, baseball parent, and someone who understands how strongly a child's circumstances can shape opportunity, Christy is building the kind of organization she believes families deserve: competitive, disciplined, faith-centered, family-aware, and focused on the whole young person.

Baseball has been part of Christy Christensen's story since childhood. As a mother of three and a youth-sports parent, Christy understands that youth athletics reaches far beyond the field. Her own experiences taught her that childhood circumstances, financial pressure, painful seasons, family challenges, or past mistakes do not have to become permanent definitions of what a person can become. Those experiences shaped Ragnarok. As Founder and CEO, Christy leads Ragnarok's commercial strategy, business development, communications, branding, facility planning, sponsorship development, family advocacy, policies, financial planning, community relationships, and long-term growth. Ragnarok Performance Sports is being developed as a competitive, faith-centered youth baseball and athlete-development organization that combines serious baseball development, strength and conditioning, a dedicated training facility, public memberships, mentorship, the Academic Excellence Room, Christian Youth Leadership, the Youth Faith Room, accountability, and leadership development. Alongside the commercial organization, Christy's long-term vision includes eventually developing Ragnarok Rising Foundation as a separate nonprofit organization after the commercial operation and facility become operational.

Tyler Christensen
Co-Founder & Head Coach

Tyler Christensen

Ragnarok Performance Sports

Tyler Christensen serves as Co-Founder & Head Coach of Ragnarok Performance Sports and leads the baseball-development side of the organization.

His role includes helping shape coaching philosophy, player-development standards, competitive expectations, training approach, accountability, athlete culture, and the standards Ragnarok expects from the adults responsible for developing young players.

Tyler believes youth athletes need coaches who can challenge them without humiliating them, teach instead of simply demand, and help young people learn how to respond to failure, pressure, correction, and responsibility.

Tyler Christensen serves as Co-Founder and Head Coach of Ragnarok Performance Sports and leads the baseball-development side of the organization. His philosophy begins with a simple belief: athletes improve when expectations are clear, instruction is consistent, accountability is real, and coaches are willing to teach rather than merely demand. Tyler wants athletes to develop baseball fundamentals, baseball intelligence, physical ability, teamwork, emotional control, confidence, discipline, and respect. His development focus includes hitting, fielding, throwing, pitching, catching, baserunning, team defense, situational baseball, conditioning, movement, and overall baseball intelligence. Tyler believes youth coaches carry enormous responsibility because the way adults correct children matters. Coaches can teach accountability without humiliation, challenge athletes without tearing them down, and teach a young person how to recover from failure instead of becoming afraid of it.

OUR STORY

BEFORE RAGNAROK, THERE WAS A FAMILY BEING BUILT.

Christy and Tyler Christensen together

Before Tyler, Christy was raising two children alone — working, parenting, and rebuilding her faith. Dating wasn't the plan; she'd made peace with life being just her and her kids.

On April 7, 2025, a Snapchat request from a man in Arkansas lit up her phone. She almost ignored it. Instead, she prayed — asking God to remove him if he wasn't meant to be part of her life — then accepted.

Messages became all-day conversations, then FaceTime calls about children, faith, fears, and dreams. The connection grew fast across a thousand miles, until the distance became something neither wanted to accept.

Christy told Tyler she was coming to get him. He didn't hesitate. He sold what he owned, even his truck, and took the leap to North Carolina.

But choosing Christy meant stepping into the lives of a 10-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy — a role he'd never held. He had to earn his place: learning when to step forward and when to give space, how to support Christy without replacing anyone, how to build trust with two children who already had their own histories.

He didn't become important because of a title. He became important by showing up, again and again. For Christy, that required its own trust — years of carrying the weight alone, then learning to let someone build beside her.

“Your kids” became “our family.” A phone screen became a home, a marriage, and a blended family. Later came Stetson, joining Bayleigh and Tucker.

Their life isn't perfectly polished — it's work, baseball, school, marriage, faith, exhaustion, laughter, difficult conversations, and figuring things out while life keeps moving. In other words, it's real.

WHY THIS BECAME RAGNAROK

RAGNAROK GREW OUT OF WHAT WE WERE ALREADY LIVING.

Baseball was already part of our family's rhythm. We saw what youth sports could give children when the environment was right — confidence, discipline, accountability, adults who genuinely cared. We also saw what was missing: how expensive it becomes, and athletes who needed more than another practice.

Some needed confidence.

Some needed stronger boundaries.

Some needed academic accountability.

Some needed mentorship.

Some needed faith.

Some simply needed an adult willing to keep showing up.

That became the question behind Ragnarok:

WHAT WOULD WE WANT FOR OUR OWN CHILDREN?

The answer was bigger than baseball.

We imagined a place where athletes could train seriously, where coaches could hold them accountable without humiliating them, and where families felt like more than another payment on a roster — with an Academic Excellence Room where school mattered as much as sports, and a Youth Faith Room where young people could pray, study the Bible, ask hard questions, or simply talk to someone they trusted.

We imagined faith being present without being forced, and an organization that cared about the person wearing the uniform as much as the player.

OUR ROLES

OUR ROLES ARE DIFFERENT. THE VISION IS SHARED.

CHRISTY

Christy builds the business behind Ragnarok. She leads strategy, branding, facility planning, financial development, sponsorship and investor outreach, partnerships, operations, communications, program development, and long-term growth.

TYLER

Tyler leads the baseball side. He brings the coaching philosophy, player-development standards, competitive expectations, training approach, and an understanding that developing young athletes requires far more than teaching mechanics.

Sometimes people grow into the roles life asks of them because someone they love is depending on them.

PARENTS BEFORE FOUNDERS

WE ARE PARENTS BEFORE WE ARE FOUNDERS.

That shapes nearly every decision we make. When we picture young people walking into Ragnarok, we picture our own children.

Would we trust the adults around them?
Would someone notice if they were struggling?
Would they be challenged when they were capable of more?
Would their mistakes become permanent labels, or opportunities to grow?
Would someone care about their grades?
Would they have somewhere safe to ask difficult questions?
Would faith be offered sincerely and never used as a condition of belonging?
Would they leave stronger than when they arrived?

Those are the standards we want Ragnarok measured against.

THE BUSINESS AND THE MISSION

THE BUSINESS HAS TO WORK. THE REASON BEHIND IT WILL ALWAYS BE PERSONAL.

Ragnarok is currently pre-launch, and the full vision is larger than what our family can build alone. Bringing an approximately 20,000-square-foot facility to life will require investors, sponsors, businesses, coaches, mentors, community leaders, and strategic partners who believe in what Ragnarok can become.

We don't expect anyone to support Ragnarok simply because they like our family story. The business has to make sense. The model has to be sustainable. But we want people to understand why we care so much about building it correctly — because long before Ragnarok existed, our family had already learned some of the principles behind it:

FAITH CAN BE REBUILT.
FAMILIES CAN BE BUILT IN UNEXPECTED WAYS.
TRUST HAS TO BE EARNED.
PEOPLE CAN GROW INTO ROLES THEY NEVER EXPECTED.
GRACE AND ACCOUNTABILITY CAN EXIST TOGETHER.
AND SOMETIMES THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO FOR ANOTHER PERSON IS SIMPLY KEEP SHOWING UP.

THAT IS THE FAMILY BEHIND RAGNAROK.

AND THAT IS THE KIND OF PLACE WE INTEND TO BUILD.

BELIEVE IN WHAT WE'RE BUILDING?

Ragnarok Group, LLC is currently in pre-launch development and seeking investors, strategic partners, facility partners, sponsors, businesses, and professionals who see the opportunity to help build something designed to last beyond a single baseball season.
