A competitive baseball and athlete-development organization built to strengthen players, support families, and create better paths for young people.

Our Story

From a Love of Baseball to a Mission for Children

Baseball has been part of Christy Christensen's life since she was a little girl. Some of her earliest memories include sitting with her family and watching the game she would eventually come to love not only as a sport, but as a source of connection, discipline, excitement, and hope.

As Christy became a mother and became more involved in youth baseball, that love of the game took on a deeper meaning. She saw how much families sacrifice to give their children opportunities. She also saw how many talented, hardworking athletes are left behind because their families cannot afford the same training, travel, equipment, or exposure as others.

Christy and Tyler both came to believe that youth sports could be used to do more. A strong baseball program can give an athlete structure. It can give a child coaches who notice when something is wrong. It can place positive expectations around a young person who may not experience enough of them elsewhere. It can teach an athlete how to accept correction, recover from failure, control emotions, work toward a goal, and become dependable to other people.

Ragnarok grew from the belief that one coach, one team, one mentor, one season, or one real opportunity can change the direction of a young person's life. The goal is not to remove accountability or excuse harmful behavior. The goal is to surround young athletes with people who expect more from them, teach them how to reach those expectations, and continue showing up while they learn.

Ragnarok will begin in Fayetteville, North Carolina. As demand and funding allow, the organization intends to bring this mission and operating model into additional communities and states.

Our Tax-Exempt Status

Ragnarok Rising Foundation is a future initiative and has not yet been legally formed. It is not currently a 501(c)(3), is not currently accepting charitable contributions, and is not currently awarding scholarships, athlete assistance, or equipment funding. Commercial payments to Ragnarok Group, LLC or Ragnarok Performance Sports are not charitable contributions.

Founder & CEO

Baseball has been important to Christy Christensen for as long as she can remember. Her connection to the game began during childhood, when watching baseball with her family created memories that stayed with her long after the games ended.

As a mother, Christy understands the depth of a parent's desire to see their child recognized, supported, challenged, and given a genuine opportunity. She has witnessed the difference a strong team environment can make — and how quickly talented athletes can be overlooked when families lack financial resources, access, or connections.

She created the vision for Ragnarok around one central belief: a child's future should not be determined entirely by what their family can afford, where they come from, what challenges they have faced, or the worst decision they have made.

As Founder and CEO, Christy leads the organization's overall mission, business structure, communication, sponsorship development, fundraising, family support, community outreach, facility planning, and long-term expansion. Her goal is to build an organization parents can trust, athletes are proud to represent, businesses are proud to support, and community agencies can confidently recommend.

Tyler Christensen
Co-Founder & Head Coach

Tyler Christensen serves as Ragnarok's Co-Founder and Head Coach, leading the athletic-development and coaching side of the organization. His approach centers on preparation, fundamentals, accountability, baseball intelligence, teamwork, physical development, effort, and respect for the game.

He understands that no two athletes learn in exactly the same way. Some need confidence rebuilt. Some need greater discipline. Some need to be challenged beyond what they think they can accomplish. Others need a coach willing to slow down and help them understand the game.

Tyler will help establish Ragnarok's coaching standards, player-development system, evaluation process, and approach to athlete accountability. Ragnarok coaches will teach firmly without humiliating athletes, hold players accountable without giving up on them, and model the same discipline and respect expected from every player.

As Co-Founder, Tyler works alongside Christy to keep Ragnarok's baseball mission and organizational mission connected. The program must be competitive and financially responsible, but it must never forget why it exists.

Christy and Tyler are not building Ragnarok as a temporary travel team or short-term project. They are building a long-term athlete-development organization designed to grow carefully, serve families responsibly, and create measurable community impact — an environment where competitive athletes can develop, struggling athletes can find direction, families can find support, and community partners can help create opportunities that extend far beyond the baseball field.

Long-Term Vision

Competitive teams, sponsorships, a dedicated facility, public memberships, private instruction, mentorship, community partnerships, and future educational and life-skills support.

Ragnarok Performance Sports will begin in Fayetteville, North Carolina. After establishing sustainable funding, qualified leadership, safe facilities, consistent operating standards, and measurable community impact, the organization intends to expand into additional communities and states as demand and funding allow.
